Why This Site Exists

Kentucky law permits access to many public arrest and booking records, but those records are split among several custodians. Louisville Metro Department of Corrections creates and maintains the local adult booking record and current-inmate roster. The Kentucky Department of Corrections publishes information about people in state custody or under state supervision through KOOL. Kentucky courts show what happened after the initial allegation, and written records requests provide a path to records that are no longer on a live roster.
